Can Copilot workflows be used with Portals?
No, if you add a form that is part of a Copilot Workflow to a Portal, the workflow will not be initiated when the form is submitted via the portal.
Can Copilot handle encrypted forms?
Copilot workflows supports the use of encrypted forms to collect data as well as to map data while building out your workflow. All users with access to Copilot will be able to use this feature. Check out this quick demo to see how you can add encrypted forms to your Copilot workflows.

Can data residency be chosen for Copilot, e.g., backend data resides in the EU rather than the USA?
Data residency cannot be selected.
Can Copilot workflows be started by an internal user with subsequent steps being sent to external participants?
Yes! This can be done in one of two ways. On the assignment tab of the form you’d like an external user to complete, simply add their email address to the assignment step.
If you have an external user completing the first form in your workflow and you’d like them to complete a second, you can also use the “inherit from a previous step” toggle and the user can complete both forms directly from the same browser.
Do steps in a workflow always have to be sent to an individual, or can I send them to an HR group so anyone in the group can pick up?
While you can add multiple assignees to a single step, Formstack does not currently offer the ability to assign steps to a user group. However, we are always looking for feedback from customers about features we should invest in!

How can I learn more about adding Copilot to my Formstack account?

Is there a feature for data cleaning/formatting before sending data to my database?
Formstack offers features that help standardize data, like names and addresses, before it enters your database. Features like, Field Validation, Field Prefill, Single Sign-On, Partial Submissions, and Required Fields, help you to prevent dirty data from making its way to your database.
